About the position

As a nursing assistant in the emergency department, you will care for seriously ill and accident victims but will also assist patients who come to us for minor injuries and lighter illnesses. You will collaborate with nurses and doctors and assist in triaging patients who come to us. You, together with the nurse, will provide care based on the patient's needs. Our emergency department is also an urgent care center, which provides a great variety in tasks, and no day is like the other. Due to the urgent care assignment, the work also includes caring for sick children.

The current position is a temporary position for about a year.

Your tasks include:

• Care work
• Triaging patients together with the nurse
• Assisting in various procedures such as suturing and different punctures
• Monitoring vital parameters and EKG
• Blood sampling, both venous and capillary
• Documentation in the Take Care journal system
• Caring for sick children

About you

For this position, you need to:

• Be a trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title, or have applied for a protected professional title
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
• Be comfortable with data and systems

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience in emergency care
• Skills in casting
• Experience with the Take Care journal system
